Welcome back to Parents ASSIST! Thank you for taking part in Session 4 of the program. We are crushing this! This week, we talked more about the specific information gay and bisexual teens need to know before deciding to have sex. To empower teens to make healthy decisions, parents must give them all the necessary information about how to protect themselves. Giving your sons practical advice and facts will make it clear what they need to do to keep themselves healthy. • When talking with your son about safer sex, it’s important to be clear and explicit about what you mean.
• Non-inclusive sex education in most schools leaves out important ways gay and bisexual males can protect their sexual health, so it’s important that parents talk with their sons about what “being safe” means for them.em.
